Northeastern University College Republicans Mission Statement

The Northeastern University College Republicans (NUCR) is the official chapter of the Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans (MACR) and College Republican National Committee (CRNC) at Northeastern University. NUCR abides by the platforms and bylaws of the state and national organizations. We seek to elect Republican and conservative candidates at every level of government, and have a damn good time while doing so. To this end, we connect interested students with internships and volunteer opportunities at the local and state level whenever possible. NUCR also works with MACR to grow our network and establish a Republican base in the Boston area.

NUCR seeks to promote conservative values on campus, through tabling, debates and panels with other political groups, and editorials in various campus publications such as NUPR and The Huntington News. In the past, NUCR has also appeared on NUTV to talk politics, and we provide interviews to students with policy questions in various political science and journalism classes. As a minority group on campus, we seek out all possible opportunities to engage in political discourse, in order to facilitate a university environment encompassing as many different viewpoints as possible.

Every semester, NUCR engages in charity work, especially that which involves veterans organizations. The club has hosted fundraising events for various veterans groups, as well as preparing care packages for units serving overseas.
